Move America Forward and Breitbart News to Team Up for 7th Annual Troopathon

Move America Forward is proud to partner with Breitbart News for Troopathon 7 “Care Packages for Our Heroes.” Troopathon is a campaign to raise money for care packages for the troops serving in Afghanistan that culminates in an eight-hour web-a-thon broadcast live from the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library on June 25th.

As in years past, Breitbart News will play an integral role in this important cause, as Executive Chairman of Breitbart News Network Stephen K. Bannon, a former Naval officer, will follow in the footsteps of the late, great Andrew Breitbart in co-hosting the program. He will join Melanie Morgan and Debbie Lee for the eight-hour Troopathon extravaganza. Breitbart News Network CEO/President Larry Solov said, “Since its inception, Troopathon has been a cause near and dear to our hearts. It meant so much to Andrew to participate, and we’re proud to continue our ongoing collaboration.”

Move America Forward is a military nonprofit based in Sacramento, California, whose mission is to send care packages oversees to our brave men and women fighting the war on terror. In 2008, we hosted our first Troopathon with the goal of sending the largest shipment ever of care packages to our men and women in Afghanistan fighting on the front lines. Seven years later, Troopathon is going strong and has become an annual event of which we are very proud.

Our first Troopathon raised $1.2 million. This allowed us to send the largest single shipment of care packages ever overseas. Since then, we have raised over $4.1 million during the last six years, allowing us to send over 315 tons of care packages to Iraq and Afghanistan.

Past Troopathons have included an amazing array of guests from every type of industry. Some of our notable past guests have included Sean Hannity, Gov. Sarah Palin, Michelle Malkin, Mark Levin, Gary Sinise, Rush Limbaugh, Mike “Coach K” Krzyzewski, Ambassador John Bolton, Dennis Miller, and many more. We have been working hard on putting together another great show and bringing in new guests. The lineup is incredible this year, so stay tuned as more names and details about Troopathon will be announced soon.

With 33,000 troops daily putting their lives on the line in Afghanistan, Troopathon’s mission is just as important as ever. Please visit www.troopathon.org for more information. A live stream of the event will also be available right here on June 25th.
