U.S. Sends Stealth Bombers to Europe in Response to 'Russia's Recent Bluster'

On June 8, two U.S. stealth bombers arrived in England to join “three B-52 Stratofortress aircraft already deployed” as part of “Washington’s effort to reassure allies in the region amid Russia’s recent bluster.”

“All five of the aircraft are capable of delivering nuclear weapons.”

According to the Air Force Times, “the multi-role heavy bombers will conduct training flights in the U.S. European Command area of operations.”

Admiral Cecil Haney, commander of U.S. Strategic Command. said: “The training and integration of strategic forces demonstrates to our nation’s leaders and our allies that we have the right mix of aircraft and expertise to respond to a variety of threats and situations.”
