Islamic State Militants Behead Kurdish Man in Iraq

Islamic State (IS) militants have released a video, titled “Message in Blood,” which shows them beheading “a Kurdish man as a warning to forces fighting the group in northern Iraq.”

According to BBC News, the video shows the victim “kneeling near a mosque in the IS-held city of Mosul” just prior to being executed. Three men draped in black stand behind him, two with AK-47s and one with a knife, IS flags to the left and right.

The video shows over a dozen other men in orange jumpsuits, whom IS claims are captured Kurdish soldiers. They warn that these, too, will be killed, as will all others who fight against IS.

“Message in Blood” comes on the heels of a video of IS militants executing approximately 250 Syrian soldiers. On August 28, Breitbart News reported that the militants forced the Syrian soldiers to strip, then marched them into the desert and shot them.

On August 19, Breitbart News reported that IS released a video message to Americans in which they said, “We will drown all of you in blood.” That same day, an IS militant beheaded American journalist James Foley, and the group threatens to do the same to captured American journalist Steven Sotloff.

In July, TOMO News published photographs of IS militants executing Iraqi soldiers en masse.
