Sinai Jihadi Group Beheads 3 Accused of Being 'Spies of the Jews'

Muslim Brotherhood-linked and Sinai-based jihadi group Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis (ABM) released a video this weekend showing the beheading of three Egyptians.

The militants in the video accused the individuals of being Israeli spies. “These are your sons, continuing to harvest the spies of the Jews,” said a voice for the group in the video.

The three men were shown confessing to their charges before having their heads sliced off by the savage Islamic fighters. The victims’ heads were then placed at their backs, akin to the beheading videos produced by the Islamic State. The fourth man in the video then admitted that he had been a spy for the Egyptian military. Shortly thereafter, he was executed with an array of bullets.

The men in the video then accused Egypt and Israel of collaborating to fight against radical Islamist groups like Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis.

In early September, Breitbart News reported that the Islamic State had been training Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis in the Sinai. A senior commander from the group told Reuters at the time, “They teach us how to carry out operations. We communicate through the internet. … They don’t give us weapons or fighters. But they do teach us how to create secret cells, consisting of five people. Only one person has contact with other cells.”

The founder of the Islamic Jihad in Egypt has accused the Muslim Brotherhood of funding ABM. Other experts have said that ABM is the “military wing of the Brotherhood.”

On August 28th, ABM released a similar video showing the beheading of four people who were also accused of “spying for Israel.”
