President Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin crossed paths during the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation summit while meeting with world leaders, taking group photos, planting trees, watching fireworks, and attending a formal dinner.
At one point, Putin paused to clap Obama on the shoulder during the summit on the way to his seat.
The White House confirmed that during the summit Obama had a chance to speak with Putin about more than the weather.
