Poll: 1 in 4 Palestinians Support ISIS

The polls were conducted by the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies, which is based in Doha, Qatar.

Of those surveyed, 85 percent of respondents rejected the Islamic State as a force for good. However, 24 percent of Palestinians had a “positive to positive to some extent” opinion of ISIS. Additionally, only 36 percent of Palestinians had a wholly negative opinion of ISIS, compared to an average of 72 percent who believed ISIS was entirely negative. Lebanon, with its Shiite and Christian populations amounting to roughly 75 percent of its population, unanimously reacted negatively towards the Islamic State.
