An Egyptian couple held a wedding reception in which they were placed in a cage by masked men wielding knives as part of an Islamic State-themed celebration.
The video, shot by Ahmed Kassem I Photography, shows a wedding attendant leading the bride and groom to the cage while a jihadi anthem is played in the background. The cage resembles that used by Islamic State in the burning of Jordanian pilot Mu’ath Al Kassasbeh.
The couple then break into dance as the other guests join them. S
Sky News reports that the idea was dreamt up by the groom, who did not tell his wife about the plan. Some guests reportedly believed the wedding was being stormed by genuine Islamic State fighters.
