Renowned TV producer Mark Burnett is looking to launch a reality series following the lives of global leaders, and has his sights set on Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Burnett, whose previous projects include Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader, The Apprentice, The Voice, Survivor, Shark Tank and Sarah Palin’s Alaska, expressed a desire to catch up with Putin, and eventually Cuba’s Fidel Castro in the proposed show.

“I want this to be a series of shows from the eyes of leaders of nations about their countries,” Burnett told the industry publication, “not through the lens of a news organization.”

Burnett is excited about the prospect of seeing Russia through the eyes of Putin, according to the Hollywood Reporter, and has reached out to the 62-year-old, whose humble beginnings included a 16-year stint in the KBG, before becoming a force in the country’s national politics.

Burnett told the publication his show would focus on “the humans, the nature, the animals of the nation,” rather than the politics.

When met with a suggestion Putin would likely be uninterested in such a proposal, Burnett reportedly smiled and said, “How do you know that? I would think I could probably get through to most people.”

He also added, “no comment,” when asked if he was able to get through to Putin.

Burnett is currently the executive producer of seven hours of programming on five networks. He has produced more 2,400 hours of television, which regularly airs in over 70 countries, per IMDB.
