Two suspects in Friday’s terror attacks in Paris are dead after an early morning raid in the Paris suburb of Saint-Denis, the Associated Press reports.

Amateur video shared on social media recording the sounds of heavy gunfire in the dark before the dawn.

The alleged mastermind of the attacks, Abdelhamid Abaaoud, was reported to be barricaded inside the apartment, along with the elusive “eighth suspect,” Salah Abdeslam.

The AP reported that police sources said that a man and a woman were killed, “two people have been detained, and two police officers injured in the standoff Wednesday in Saint-Denis.” (Update: seven have been arrested.)

Agence France-Presse reported that the woman who died blew herself up during the confrontation.

BBC radio reported that the raid started at about 4 a.m., and that there were still people in the targeted apartment as of 8:30 a.m.

Schools are closed in the area. The operation is ongoing.
