Turkey Backtracks, Allows Remains of Kurdish Anti-ISIS YPG Fighters to Return Home

The bodies of 13 Kurdish People’s Protection Unit (YPG) soldiers will finally be allowed to return to their families after 10 days held up at the Syrian/Turkish border, Turkish media reports. Despite having died fighting the Islamic State, their alliance with the YPG stains them with ties to the terrorist Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK)– Turkey’s number one enemy.

Gulf Arab States to Kerry: Iran Should Not Meddle in Our Affairs

The deal reached between Iran and U.S.-led world powers should lead to cooperation with the Islamic Republic and stability in the region, Sunni Gulf Arab states told U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, adding that they do not want Iran to meddle with the internal affairs of their neighbors.

AFP News reports that a paper called the 9th Dey Weekly has been shut down by Iran’s “Press Supervisory Board,” which also issued warning notices to the Kayhan Daily and a news website called Raja–all critics of the nuclear deal Iran brokered during the P5+1 talks.

A United Arab Emirates military brigade has joined ground troops combating Shiite Houthi rebels in Yemen, in a move that senior Yemeni and American military officials believe could intensify a regional fight between Iran and Saudi-led Sunni Gulf countries, reports the New York Times (NYT).

Boko Haram Leader Still Missing in New Propaganda Video

Nigerian jihadist group Boko Haram– now known as the Islamic State West Africa Province– released a new video this week showing off new weapons and graphically depicting the beheading of a Nigerian policeman. The new Boko Haram video’s production value seems to indicate it was produced with help from ISIS, and leader Abubakar Shekau’s absence once again is raising questions.

Armed US Drones Begin Operating from Turkish Airbase

The increased level of Turkish cooperation with American efforts against the Islamic State (ISIS) has produced the uncomfortable side effect of the Turks declaring open season on our most vital ally, the Kurds. At least the Turks are making good on their promise to allow more extensive American use of their airbases, as the Pentagon says armed US drones are now operating from the Incirlik Air Base.

Iran’s Ayatollah Releases New Book Outlining Plan to Conquer America, Israel

Iranian ‘Supreme Leader,” the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has released a new Persian-language book, titled Palestine, in which he reveals his regime’s plans to conquer America and Israel. On the back cover, Khamenei is described as “the flagbearer of Jihad to liberate Jerusalem,” the New York Post’s Amir Taheri, who obtained a copy of the book, reported this weekend.

Netanyahu Tells 10,000 American Jews to Oppose Iran Deal

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke via web and telephone to 10,000 American Jews on Tuesday, telling them to oppose the Iran deal. “This is the time to stand up and be counted,” the Israeli leader said from Israel. “Oppose this dangerous deal.”
