LONDON, Dec. 4 (UPI) — A 27-foot-tall Christmas tree in London is making merry in an unusual — but undeniably effective — way: dispensing beer.
The tree, which features candle-lit beer bottle decorations and a large hop in the place of a star atop the tree, was outfitted with a beer-dispensing pump by the Carlsberg brewing company to allow visitors to get festive with some merry libations.
Carlsberg provided ornament-like glass balls for visitors to use as cups while having a Christmas brew.
Video footage of the tree on London’s South Bank shows merry-makers forming a long line to wait for their chance to sample the yuletide brew.
