Maduro, Capriles meet in bid to end Venezuela protests

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro sat down for talks with rival Henrique Capriles on Thursday in a first meeting with senior opposition figures to try to end two months of protests.

The televised meeting, which involved about 20 representatives from both sides, was also witnessed by the foreign ministers of Brazil, Colombia and Ecuador, and a Vatican representative.
