LOS ANGELES, June 1 (UPI) — A new video for Maroon 5’s single, “This Summer’s Gonna Hurt…” bares not only the backstage antics of lead singer Adam Levine, but his naked backside, too.
The video, shot in black and white on a single take, follows Levine, 36, as he prepares — from shower to stage — to perform in front of a sold-out crowd.
It begins with The Voice coach and judge exiting a steamy shower with only a towel hastily wrapped around his waist; seconds later he drops it, exposing his behind for all to see before the camera focuses on his face and shoulders as he gets dressed.
The rest of the video shows Levine walking through the backstage halls on his way to the stage, where his bandmates and crew are waiting. The clip’s energy level peaks as the Maroon 5 headman bursts on stage, still in-sync with the song’s summery vibe.
Soon, the pre-recorded song blends with the sounds of the show’s audience as they scream for the band. Eventually, the song ends and all that’s left is the ambient sounds of a post-show hangout with the band.
As the members file into the back of unmarked mini-vans behind the venue, one is heard saying, “That was awesome!”
