LOS ANGELES, May 7 (UPI) — Contrary to Maroon 5’s “Sugar” lyrics, this was some sweetness Adam Levine did not need in his life.
On the way in to the Jimmy Kimmel Live studios, the band’s frontman was attacked by a powdered sugar-slinging assailant.
Levine took the time and greeted his fans outside the Hollywood Boulevard set when someone thew a bag of the white substance at the singer, fully covering one side of his face and clothing.
One look at the Voice judge’s annoyed face and it can be confirmed that this was not part of a skit for the talk show. This was a random act of rudeness.
According to TMZ, the attacker was detained by security and later arrested by the police.
Levine’s not the first star in Hollywood to get bombed. Kim Kardashian had flour thrown at her in 2012 by an animal rights activist.
