WASHINGTON, Aug. 26 (UPI) — A pair of proud parents introduced their baby daughter to the family cat and filmed the newborn’s enthusiastically overjoyed reaction to the sight of the kitty.
The video posted to YouTube by the Merkley Family begins with the couple’s newborn daughter having a relatively calm moment in her crib before her mother comes in to introduce her to the family cat.
The newborn squeaks and laughs uproariously at the cat, which seems comparatively unimpressed and walks back and forth over the baby, whose flailing limbs are kept under wraps by her sleep sack.
“She’s incapable of controlling her limbs when her kitty is around. The obsession grows every day,” the video’s description reads.
