LONDON, April 9 (UPI) — London’s Heathrow Airport confiscated ten ounces of actress Alyssa Milano’s pumped breast milk Thursday morning, and it’s not going over well.
In a series of tweets following the incident, Milano shared her frustration with the airport and questioned the purpose of the confiscation.
“Why can you test my toiletries to make sure they are safe but have to throw away my breast milk?” Milano asks in a tweet directed toward the airport. She tweeted earlier that morning about the difficulty of pumping on a moving aircraft.
In response, Heathrow tweeted, “Hi Alyssa. Unfortunately, without a baby present, the government requires all liquids in carry-ons to follow the 100ml rule.”
That wasn’t good enough for Milano, who continued to express her displeasure for a little over an hour. Heathrow stuck to its guns though, and did not return the actress’ milk.
Milano has been known to advocate for breastfeeding in the past, having had to defend a selfie of her performing the act for her youngest child, Elizabella Dylan, in November 2014. She has two children with husband, Dave Bugliari.
