Alexis Arquette died of a heart attack death certificate reveals

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 21 (UPI) — Alexis Arquette’s cause of death has been revealed to be from a heart attack according to her death certificate.

According to E! News who obtained the document, a heart attack is listed as the immediate cause of death and also reveals that the transgender actress had suffered from a bacterial infection of the heart prior to her passing.

An underlying cause of death is also outlined, revealing for the first time that Arquette was living with HIV for 29 years.

Arquette who died Sept. 11, is known for her roles in Last Exit to Brooklyn, The Wedding Singer and Blended and is the sibling of stars David Arquette, Patricia Arquette, Richmond Arquette and Rosanna Arquette.

Following her death, David and his former wife Courtney Cox shared their condolences on Twitter with the former Friends star writing, “My heart goes out to anyone who was lucky enough to know Alexis. We will love and miss you forever.”

“Thank you all for your love and kind words about Alexis. My hero for eternity,” David added.
