LOS ANGELES, Jan. 7 (UPI) — Former Bachelorette star Ali Fedotowsky and fiancé Kevin Manno are expecting their first child together.
The 31-year-old reality television personality announced her pregnancy on her blog, revealing her and radio host Manno’s mixed feelings toward finally sharing the news after several months.
“It feels surreal to let everyone know, since this has been our little secret for a while now,” Fedotowsky wrote Wednesday. “Something about this news felt SO personal that we almost felt like we were giving away a piece of ourselves by sharing it with everyone.”
However, the couple is reportedly excited about the pregnancy, telling People in a statement they are “thrilled, excited, nervous and in awe that we are going to be parents! We feel incredibly fortunate to be lucky enough to welcome a little one into this world.”
Explaining why the couple decided to pursue pregnancy, Fedotowsky wrote on her website she and her fiance decided they wanted to become parents on Fourth of July of last year. “We were hanging in our backyard talking about life and how grateful we are to live in this country and have this life,” the celebrity wrote. “We were talking about our future, our love for our little dog Owen…and talked about our new home that we bought together and suddenly it clicked — we were ready to start a family.”
The couple released a comical pregnancy announcement photo featuring Fedotowsky sporting acid wash “mom jeans,” while Manno and their dog stand in the background looking confused. “I’m not a woman anymore,” the card read, quoting Saturday Night Live. “I’m a mom.”
