Alicia Keys, Swizz Beats list mansion for $14.9M

ENGLEWOOD, N.J., Aug. 22 (UPI) — Alicia Keys and husband Swizz Beatz are looking to sell their 32-room, 25,000 square foot mansion for almost $15 million.

The hip-hop and R&B stars reportedly bought the brick-laden estate from actor and comedian Eddie Murphy just two years ago.

Behind gates and protected by a high-tech security system, the Englewood home — called Bubble Hill during Murphy’s day — boasts eight bedrooms and 14 bathrooms as well as two elevators, a theater, bowling alley, indoor swimming pool, tennis court, recording studio, carriage house, gym, five-car garage and high-arching art gallery wing.

The home is said to be decorated to the nines with glitzy chandeliers and plenty of contemporary art.

The couple may have put the mansion on the market because they intend to build a new one from the bottom up. According to reports, the family wants a larger outdoor and entertaining space.

Keys and Beatz married in July 2010 and have two sons, Egypt and Genesis. Her youngest son — born in December — made his debut in a family portrait taken in March including Beatz’ son Kasseem Jr. and Egypt.
