LOS ANGELES, Dec. 17 (UPI) — Amanda Bynes resurfaced on social media Wednesday.
The 29-year-old actress returned to Twitter to share well wishes with her fans, writing, “Me and my bestie @itstroyjensen! Happy Holidays!” Bynes included a photo of herself looking happy and healthy alongside the makeup artist.
Bynes last posted in August, and returned to classes at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in October. The troubled star was placed on an involuntary psychiatric hold the previous October, but was doing well as of February.
“Amanda is doing much better from where she was months ago,” a source told ABC News. “She has her own apartment and is much happier. She and her parents are getting along and Amanda is clear-headed, more focused and has more independence.”
Bynes came to fame as a child star on Nickelodeon series All That and The Amanda Show, and later appeared in She’s the Man and Hairspray. She announced her intent to quit acting in 2010, and has since turned her focus to fashion design.
