ANDERSON, Ind., May 5 (UPI) — Amber Portwood met ex-fiancé Gary Shirley’s new baby on Monday.
The 24-year-old reality star got to hold the infant while picking up daughter Leah from the hospital where baby Emilee is staying. Shirley and girlfriend Kristina Anderson welcomed their daughter April 30.
“Thank you to @AmberLPortwood for picking up @leah_leann and holding the baby briefly! Kind of you!” he later tweeted. Portwood responded by saying, “Of course..i wouldn’t miss out on booboo time..congrats on the little angel..sending love.”
The friendly exchange is a far cry from Portwood and Shirley’s previously contentious relationship. The former couple welcomed Leah in November 2008, and made headlines more than once for Portwood’s violent behavior toward Shirley.
Portwood is currently engaged to Matt Baier, who has two children of his own from a previous relationship. The reality star recently returned for a fifth season of MTV series Teen Mom, which co-stars Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell and Farrah Abraham and airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET.
