LOS ANGELES, Nov. 22 (UPI) — Host Jennifer Lopez kicked off Sunday’s American Music Awards show in Los Angeles with an energetic dance tribute to some of the year’s biggest hit songs.
Leading a troupe of dancers wearing skin-tight, tribal-print bodysuits, Lopez danced to a medley that included “Thinking Out Loud,” “Bitch Better Have My Money,” “Hotline Bling,” “Bad Love,” “I Can’t Feel My Face,” “Uptown Funk” and “Anaconda.”
Prince was the first presenter of the evening. He gave the award for Best Soul/R&B Album to The Weeknd for Beauty Behind the Madness.
Among the stunners seen on the red carpet before the event began at the Microsoft Theater were Zendaya, Gwen Stefani, Carrie Underwood and Selena Gomez, who later performed her song “Same Old Love.”
The prize presentation is airing live on ABC.
