INCHEON, South Korea (AP) — Jordan Spieth made 7-foot putts on the last two holes to complete the biggest comeback of the week and allow the Americans to escape with a split of foursomes matches Saturday morning at the Presidents Cup.
The Americans led 7.5-6.5 going into the fourballs session Saturday afternoon.
Spieth and Dustin Johnson were 3 down at the turn and won the last two holes for a 1-up win over Jason Day and Charl Schwartzel.
Branden Grace and Louis Oosthuizen went to 3-0 for the week with an easy win over Patrick Reed and Rickie Fowler.
The last three matches could have gone either way. Bubba Watson missed a 5-foot birdie putt that would have won the match. The International team won the 18th to halve another match.
