NEW YORK, June 3 (UPI) — NBC correspondent Andrea Canning introduced her newest daughter, Elle, on social media Monday night.
Canning, 42, shared a photo of her family, including husband USMC Major Tony Bancroft and five daughters, on Twitter alongside the caption, “Whole fam together!” She posted a photo of her sleeping newborn just minutes before.
The Dateline contributor’s healthy newborn was delivered May 27; she told Today the newest addition to her family has her four older children more astir than before.
“Everyone’s doing great. We’re just very excited,” she said. “The girls are old enough now where they really know what’s going on, so it’s a little different this time around.”
She continued: “I think when you have fewer kids, you notice the difference more. The more you have, the less you notice a big change in family dynamics.”
Now, Canning and Bancroft’s daughters range in age from just born to six-years-old. She said bouncing back as super-mom has to happen faster now. Today reports that the NBC reporter was back getting the girls ready for school just days after delivering Elle.
“With this many kids, you have to just bounce back,” she said. “As long as everybody’s healthy, mom’s healthy, baby’s healthy, you just got to get back into the swing of things.”
After baby number five and filling a household with girls, Canning said this should be her last child. She told Today in January that Elle was a surprise, “This is the last one!” she said. “We’re done!”
