NEW ORLEANS, May 7 (UPI) — Angelina Jolie and husband Brad Pitt have listed their New Orleans home for $6.5 million.
The 39-year-old actress and 51-year-old old actor bought the property after becoming involved in rebuilding efforts following Hurricane Katrina, and are selling the house in order to seek something “more off the beaten path,” the couple’s rep told People.
The 1830s mansion is located in the French Quarter and sits on a 5,920-square-foot lot. The home features five bedrooms and three full bathrooms, a grand spiral staircase, a chef’s gourmet kitchen and a separate, two-story guesthouse.
Jolie and Pitt will remain involved with rebuilding efforts through the Make It Right foundation. The actor is currently in the city to film an adaptation of Michael Lewis book The Big Short, while Jolie is expected to reprise Evelyn in Salt 2.
