Arizona’s Mike Iupati taken off on stretcher after collision

SEATTLE (AP) — Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman Mike Iupati was taken off the field in an ambulance Sunday night after a collision while making a block in the second quarter against the Seattle Seahawks.

Iupati was down on the field for about 10 minutes as medical personnel attended to him with 9:16 remaining in the second quarter. After being strapped to a backboard, Iupati was put on a stretcher and into an ambulance that was brought onto the field.

Iupati was hurt on a first-and-10 run by Chris Johnson. Iupati was pulling on the play and lowered his head and he collided with Seattle’s Kam Chancellor. Iupati immediately fell to the turf, where he was attended to by medical personnel from both teams.

Iuptai was replaced by Earl Watford.
