Artist posts ‘No Kardashian Parking’ signs throughout LA

LOS ANGELES, April 8 (UPI) — Other parking signs on the streets of Hollywood may be confusing, but the “No Kardashian Parking Anytime” warning posted throughout the city couldn’t be any clearer.

Los Angeles based artist, Plastic Jesus, posted seven of these signs around the city after experiencing an event where a swarm of paparazzi flocked to a storefront just to capture photos of one of the sisters as she was walking out.

The artist criticized the population’s fascination with the famous family.

“We’ve allowed mainstream media to become so profit-driven, we are sacrificing genuine news stories to satiate our vapid celebrity obsessions,” he told The Hollywood Reporter.

Plastic Jesus is responsible for placing other reaction inducing pieces around the Los Angeles area. A life-size Oscar snorting cocaine through a $100 bill while crouching on all fours was on display in the middle of Hollywood Boulevard hours before the Academy Awards began. He also created the “Stop Making Stupid People Famous” campaign, which many people believe targets the Kardashians.

“‘Stop Making Stupid People Famous’ often gets blogged as a criticism of the Kardashians, but that piece also meant to criticize us as consumers. Without us, there would be no market for the Kardashians,” Plastic Jesus said to THR.

The signs are scattered with one strategically placed in front of the Kardashian’s retail store, Dash, located on Melrose Avenue.
