HAIFA, Israel, Aug. 17 (UPI) — Israel’s Elbit Systems Ltd is supplying command and control systems and its ATMOS long-range artillery systems to an unidentified Asia-Pacific country.
The contact is a follow-on award worth about $27 million. The systems will be delivered over a period of three years.
“The customer’s decision to order additional quantities under this follow-on contract further enhances Elbit Systems’ position as a world leading artillery supplier, with a variety of systems that meet the global demand for light, maneuverable and rapid response platforms,” said Yehuda (Udi) Vered, general manager of Elbit Systems Land and C4I Division.
Elbit said that under the contract it will provide a complete artillery unit solution — self- propelled guns, command stations, forward observation stations and target acquisition systems. Also included will be command-and-control systems, in an integrative solution to connect all systems.
The solution will be mounted on various wheeled platforms, it said.
