ATLANTA, Nov. 10 (UPI) — Former Cy Young award winner R.A. Dickey is switching scenery.

The 42-year-old right-hander signed a one-year contract with the Atlanta Braves Thursday. The deal has a club option for 2018.

Dickey has a 4.46 ERA and 126 strikeouts in 169.2 innings last year for the Toronto Blue Jays. He made $12 million last season. Dickey has a 110-108 career record with a 4.01 ERA. He led MLB in starts from 2012 to 2014. During his 2012 Cy Young season, Dickey was 20-6 with a league-leading five complete games and three shutouts. His 230 strikeouts were also the most in baseball that season.
Dickey is expected to fill into the Braves rotation behind ace Julio Teheran.
