NEW YORK, May 5 (UPI) — Beyoncé Knowles made a big entrance at the 2015 Met Gala on Monday.
The 33-year-old singer arrived late to the annual fundraising event in an embellished, nearly nude Givenchy gown. The dress featured colorful crystals to protect the star’s modesty, but left little else to the imagination.
Beyoncé shared several photos of her look on Instagram, including a close-up shot of the gown’s jeweled detail. The singer and husband Jay Z made headlines last year after sister Solange Knowles attacked the rapper in an elevator at a gala after-party.
The 2015 Met Gala celebrated the museum’s “China: Through the Looking Glass” exhibit, which explores the “impact of Chinese aesthetics on Western fashion.” Several attendees honored the theme by wearing outfits by Chinese designers, including Rihanna in a lavish Guo Pei design.
