Big Ang’s cancer has reportedly returned

NEW YORK, Dec. 14 (UPI) — Big Ang’s cancer has reportedly returned, two months after being told she was cancer free.

Sources told TMZ the 55-year-old reality star, born Angela Raiola, learned her cancer has returned during a doctor’s visit last week. She is said to have signs of cancer in various parts of her body, and will return to the doctor this week to formulate a plan.

Big Ang was diagnosed with throat cancer earlier this year, and had a large tumor removed in April. She announced the news prior to her surgery on social media, calling the procedure a “minor setback” and promising fans she “isn’t going anywhere.”

“I do want to say that you have all been on my mind every step of the way and I am so thankful to each and every one of you for the love, support, prayers and most of all positive wishes,” she wrote. “I’m fortunate and blessed to have discovered something very early, and handle it in a positive manner.”

Big Ang joined VH1 reality series Mob Wives in Season 2, and will return for a sixth and final season Jan. 13, 2016. The show follows several women with connections to the mafia, and will feature newcomers Brittany Fogarty and Marissa Fiore in Season 6.
