LOS ANGELES, June 12 (UPI) — Bill Murray and Kate Hudson star in a first Rock the Kasbah trailer.
The preview sees the 64-year-old actor and 36-year-old actress share a kiss as Murray’s character, talent manager Richie Lanz, attempts to find success in Afghanistan.
The movie follows Richie as he takes a young Afghan star (Leem Lubany) under his wing after his last client (Zooey Deschanel) robs and deserts him. Bruce Willis, Scott Caan, Taylor Kinney and Danny McBride also have roles.
Rock the Kasbah is directed by Barry Levinson (Good Morning, Vietnam, Rain Man), and opens in theaters Oct. 23. Mitch Glazer (Scrooged) wrote the script, with Steve Bing, Bill Block and Jacob Pechenik as producers.
Murray last appeared in Aloha with Bradley Cooper, and is scheduled to voice Baloo in Disney’s live-action adaptation of The Jungle Book. Hudson will also star in BP oil spill disaster movie Deepwater Horizon with Mark Wahlberg.
