Blues legend B.B. King hospitalized

LAS VEGAS, April 6 (UPI) — Blues musician B.B. King was hospitalized over the weekend in Las Vegas, his representative said.

King was rushed to the hospital for a medical problem related to dehydration and his Type II diabetes, TMZ reported.

He was diagnosed with the illness two decades ago. In October, King was forced to cancel the remaining eight gigs on a tour because of dehydration and exhaustion related to his diabetes.

The 89-year-old Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member remains hospitalized at a facility near his home.

The so-called King of the Blues is best known for the hits “Three O’Clock Blues,” “The Thrill is Gone” and “When Love Comes to Town.
