Bobby Brown, Pat Houston named co-guardians of Bobbi Kristina Brown

ATLANTA, May 9 (UPI) — Pat Houston and Bobby Brown have announced they are now legally in charge of Bobbi Kristina Brown’s care.

Bobbi Kristina is Bobby Brown’s 22-year-old daughter with his late ex-wife Whitney Houston, Pat’s sister-in-law. Bobbi Kristina has been on life support since she was discovered Jan. 31 unconscious and face-down in a water-filled bathtub at the Georgia home she shared with her boyfriend Nick Gordon. The circumstances of Bobbi Kristina’s medical crisis remain under investigation.

After a lengthy hospitalization, Bobbi Kristina has been undergoing treatment in an Atlanta-area rehab center.

“We are delighted to inform the public that the court has appointed Bobby Brown and Pat Houston as co-guardians of Bobbi Kristina Brown,” Pat Houston and Cissy Houston’s counsel, David Long-Daniel, and Christopher Brown, counsel for Bobby Brown, said in a joint statement to People magazine Friday. “Both Mr. Brown and Ms. Houston are jointly responsible for decisions related to Krissi’s care and medical needs.”
