Boston Dynamics uses robot ‘reindeer’ to send Holiday wishes

BOSTON, Dec. 23 (UPI) — Robotics company Boston Dynamics used some of its four-legged walking robots to deliver seasons greetings.

The Massachusetts based company posted a video to YouTube featuring a female Santa’s sleigh being pulled by three “Spot” walking robots dressed as reindeer.

Spot is a 160-pound walking robot created by Boston Dynamics that uses sensors in its head to navigate various terrain.

The models in the video are adorned with antlers in order to more closely resemble reindeer. The first in line is also seen sporting a red nose similar to Rudolph’s for an extra touch of holiday cheer.
