Brad Pitt, son Knox bond at the race track

SILVERSTONE, England, Aug. 31 (UPI) — Brad Pitt and son Knox spent Sunday bonding at the Silverstone Circuit race track.

The 51-year-old American actor and his lookalike 7-year-old enjoyed some one-on-one father-son time at the MotoGP British Grand Prix race. The outing came ahead of the premiere of Hitting the Apex, a MotoGP documentary Pitt narrated.

Pitt was spotted in his trademark newsboy cap, while Knox sported noise-canceling headphones. The pair were accompanied by Hitting the Apex director Mark Neale, who is best known for the documentary No Maps for These Territories.

“It’s really moving,” Pitt told Entertainment Tonight of the new film. “It’s got a universal mythological tale to it and we’re really proud to get it out there. I’m telling you, the hardcore fans are going to love it. The newcomers to the sport are going to love it and we’re really proud.”

Hitting the Apex follows six of the best MotoGP racers, including Spanish racer Jorge Lorenzo, and opens in U.K. theaters Sept. 2. Pitt will next appear in By the Sea with wife Angelina Jolie, and is also scheduled for War Machine with Will Poulter.
