Rio de Janeiro (AFP) – Brazil’s quest for a first ever football Olympic gold medal will be decided on penalties after a 1-1 draw with world champions Germany.
Barcelona star Neymar’s stunning first-half free-kick had the hosts headed for gold.
However, Germany captain Max Meyer equalised on 59 minutes and, despite Brazil’s dominance, they couldn’t find the winner in 30 minutes of extra-time.
