LOS ANGELES, Oct. 8 (UPI) — Britney Spears made quite an impression on Gina Rodriguez while filming Jane the Virgin.
The 33-year-old singer will appear on season 2, episode 5 of The CW series in November, and Rodriguez had nothing but good things to say about Spears in an interview with HuffPost Live on Wednesday.
“Everything. She’s life,” the 31-year-old actress gushed of the pop star. “Incredible. Incredible. Incredible woman, super sweet, super kind. She loved the show, that’s how [her guest spot] actually ended up happening.”
“You can tell she just wanted to be there,” she added. “‘Cause she was light and love and giving, and it’s a great episode. It’s so good. I mean, you can tell she’s got comedy chops. Like nobody’s business … She held her own and more. She was very, very good.”
Spears starred in the 2002 movie Crossroads, and has previously appeared on such shows as Will & Grace and How I Met Your Mother. Rodriguez shared a photo with the singer on set Monday, writing, “This woman is just wow… @britneyspears you are everything!!!”
Jane the Virgin premiered in 2014, and will return for a second season Oct. 12. Rodriguez stars as the titular character, Jane Villanueva, a religious young woman who becomes pregnant after being artificially inseminated by mistake.
