Bruce Jenner, Diane Sawyer interview to air April 24

LOS ANGELES, April 6 (UPI) — Bruce Jenner – The Interview will air Friday, April 24 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.

The 65-year-old reality star spoke to ABC News anchor Diane Sawyer for the two-hour 20/20 television special, and is expected to address his rumored gender transition in the interview.

Jenner’s changing appearance has been the topic of tabloid speculation for months. The former Olympian’s mother, Esther Jenner, confirmed her son’s transition in February, but a rumored E! docuseries about the change has reportedly been put on hold.

“Bruce’s primary goal is to bring awareness to this issue in order to help others [in the transgender community],” a source told People magazine. “He is not sure that E! and a reality show is the best format to do that.”

Jenner and his family currently star on E! reality series Keeping Up with the Kardashians, but it is unknown if he will appear on future seasons following his divorce from wife Kris Jenner. New season 10 episodes air Sundays at 9 p.m. ET.
