LOS ANGELES, March 12 (UPI) — Reality star Bruce Jenner is reportedly putting his upcoming docuseries on hold as he’s looking for better avenues to tell his transitioning story.
Jenner, 65, was supposed to detail his transition from male to female in the series, but has reportedly halted production because he feels like he is being rushed with a May air date.
“[Jenner] wants this to be taken seriously so that [his situation] can have the most positive impact on society’s perception of the transgender community,” an insider told People magazine.
TMZ also reports Jenner would like to deal with the repercussions of his involvement in a deadly car crash in February.
While the production team behind Keeping Up With the Kardashian has denied their involvement a spinoff series about the former Olympian, the celebrity gossip site reports “there’s a 99.9 percent chance the docuseries will happen,” under Bunim/Murray Productions.
Jenner’s interview with Diane Sawyer is reportedly proceeding as planned and is currently being shot is several locations.
