CACI continues software engineering for Army business activities

ARLINGTON, Va., Aug. 5 (UPI) — A five-year contract for continued software engineering has been given to CACI International Inc. by the U.S. Army.

The Force Management System award, worth $46 million, is for streamlining the personnel and equipment requirement process of the Army’s Program Executive Officer Enterprise Information Systems.

CACI said that under the contract it will continue to provide software development and systems automation for improving the Army’s business processes for documenting and authorizing personnel and equipment requirements.

It will also deliver cyber-security and systems support to help secure and maintain the IT infrastructure for the software.

“CACI will leverage its software development and systems engineering expertise to significantly enhance the productivity and efficiency of the Army’s personnel and equipment requirements authorization processes,” said John Mengucci, CACI’s chief operating officer and president of U.S. Operations.

PEO EIS develops, acquires, integrates and deploys information technology systems to support U.S. military communications, logistics, medical, finance, personnel, bio-metrics, training and procurement operations around the world.
