Carly Rae Jepsen re-releases ‘Run Away With Me’ in video game ‘Sims’ language

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Dec. 11 (UPI) — Carly Rae Jepsen has teamed up with EA Games to re-record her single “Run Away With Me” entirely in Simlish, the fictional language spoken in life simulator “The Sims.”

The song, released as part of the soundtrack for “The Sims 4: Get Together” expansion pack Tuesday features Jepsen fully embracing Simlish as she sings lyrics such as “Pooki mah foobie foobie.”

The latest expansion allows players to create their own clubs and control entire groups of Sims once as they explore new locations across the European countryside.

Jepsen is the latest pop star to lend her vocals to the game’s soundtrack as in 2012 both Katy Perry and Fun released Simlish versions of their hit songs “Last Friday Night (TGIF)” and “We Are Young.” Perry even took things further with her song appearing in her own “Sims 3″ expansion pack entitled “Katy Perry’s Sweet Treats.”
