Cat Deeley to host the Critics’ Choice Television Awards show

BURBANK, Calif., May 14 (UPI) — Cat Deeley is to host the live broadcast of the Critics’ Choice Television Awards ceremony May 31, A&E announced.

The prizes are being presented by the Broadcast Television Journalists Association for excellence on the small screen.

Deeley, longtime emcee of So You Think You Can Dance, presided over the first Critics’ Choice Television Awards in 2011.

“I am excited to come back and host the show after hosting the inaugural show five years ago,” Deeley said in a statement Wednesday. “It’s been an incredible year in television, and I am thrilled to be a part of celebrating and honoring so many talented performers and shows.”
