LOS ANGELES, Nov. 22 (UPI) — Gotham City’s iconic whip-wielding burglar Catwoman will reportedly not appear in Ben Affleck’s upcoming solo Batman film.

News of the characters exclusion comes from Fandango managing editor Erik Davis who stated on Twitter that actress Sienna Miller mentioned that Catwoman is not present in the script.

“Sienna Miller told me tonight that she wants to play Catwoman in Affleck’s Batman movie. “She’s not in the script but I wanna write her in!” Davis wrote, quoting Miller.

Notably, Miller stars alongside Affleck in the actor-director’s next film Live By Night about a notorious gangster in Boston set in the 1920s.

Affleck, who is also directing the Batman project and working on the script alongside famed comic book writer and DC Entertainment head Geoff Johns, has already cast Joe Manganiello in the film as the formidable assassin Deathstroke.

Catwoman was formerly portrayed on screen by Michelle Pfeiffer in 1992’s Batman Returns, by Halle Berry in 2004’s universally panned Catwoman and lastly by Anne Hathaway in 2012’s The Dark Knight Rises.

A younger version of Catwoman, aka Selina Kyle, is currently being portrayed by Camren Bicondova on Fox’s hit drama series, Gotham.
