CBS keeps its winning ways with another top-ranked week

NEW YORK (AP) — A slate of CBS dramas and comedies dominated the Nielsen Top 20 last week, carrying that network to its 10th consecutive win in viewership.

CBS could claim 13 of the Top 20 shows, led by the No. 1 series, “NCIS,” followed by “NCIS: New Orleans” and “The Big Bang Theory.”

ABC had four series in the Top 20, with NBC scoring three. Fox was shut out.

Overall for the week in prime time, CBS averaged 8.3 million viewers, followed by ABC, NBC and Fox.

In the evening news wars, NBC’s “Nightly News” snapped a month-long losing streak to ABC with an audience of 7.73 million viewers, beating ABC’s “World News Tonight,” seen by 7.69 million viewers. “CBS Evening News” held its customary third place.
