LOS ANGELES, Sept. 21 (UPI) — Chris Brown brought daughter Royalty to the Power 106 All-Star Celebrity Basketball Game on Sunday.
The 26-year-old singer spent time with the 16-month-old toddler before playing at the charity event. Nelly, Tyga and French Montana were among the other stars who took part to raise funds for Homeboy Industries, an organization helping former gang members.
Brown held Royalty close as they checked out the court and danced together ahead of the game. The recording artist discovered he fathered his daughter with Nia Guzman in March after Royalty was already nine months old.
The singer was awarded joint custody of the toddler after facing off with her mother in court earlier this month. He will continue to pay Guzman $2,500 per month in child support, instead of the $15,000 per month she was seeking.
“I’m too blessed for the [expletive],” Brown captioned a photo of himself with Royalty at the game on Instagram. “I embrace anything God has given me. It’s bigger than this music [expletive] … Ima keep being who God made me to be!”
Brown last released the collaborative record Fan of a Fan: The Album with Tyga in February, and will debut his eighth studio album, named Royalty after his daughter, later this year. The singer released the record’s first single, “Liquor,” in June.
