Chris Brown seeking gag order for daughter’s mom Nia Guzman

HOUSTON, Sept. 11 (UPI) — Chris Brown is reportedly seeking a gag order for Nia Guzman, the mother of his 1-year-old daughter, Royalty Riesling.

Sources told TMZ the 26-year-old singer filed to stop Guzman from discussing him in the news and on social media. He and his Guzman sparred back and forth on Twitter and Instagram last month amid word Guzman requested Brown’s visits with Royalty be supervised.

Brown discovered he fathered his daughter in March when Royalty was already nine months old. His longtime on-again, off-again girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, left him after the news broke.

Brown and Guzman were slated to head to court Friday to begin their custody battle.

The rapper is reportedly seeking 50/50 custody of the toddler and to pay significantly less than the $15,000 per month in child support Guzman is demanding. Brown is currently paying $2,500 per month, and sources said the fight will get “nasty.”

The star failed to show up at the courthouse, but TMZ reports Brown was able to score an early victory regardless. The judge denied Guzman’s request to move the case from Texas to California, which traditionally awards more money in child support.
