SYDNEY, Nov. 13 (UPI) — Chris Hemsworth had nothing but praise for wife Elsa Pataky in a recent interview.
The 32-year-old Australian actor gushed about the 39-year-old Spanish model and actress in the Nov. 23 issue of Who. Hemsworth told the magazine his love for Pataky grew even stronger after they welcomed their first child, daughter India.
“Watching her be a mother made me fall even more in love with her,” he shared. “Once we had kids we were like, ‘We’re in it, this is it.’ All of a sudden I had a greater appreciation for my wife, she kind of came into her own when we had kids. She certainly keeps me sane.”
Hemsworth and Pataky married in December 2010, and welcomed India in May 2012. Twin sons Tristan and Sasha followed in March 2014, and the actor called his wife “the greatest thing” in his G’Day USA acceptance speech in January.
Pataky came to fame as Raquel Alonso in the Spanish teen drama Al salir de clase, and went on to play Elena Neves in Fast Five and its sequels. She recently covered The Pointer Sisters hit “I’m So Excited” for a new Women’s Secret lingerie ad.
Hemsworth is best known for playing Thor in the Marvel cinematic universe, and will next reprise the role in Thor: Ragnarok. He is also slated for In the Heart of the Sea with Cillian Murphy and Snow White prequel The Huntsman with Charlize Theron.
