Christie says ‘show time’ is over in New Hampshire

EXETER, N.H. (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Chris Christie says it’s time for voters to start getting serious about the 2016 race.

The New Jersey governor went to New Hampshire Saturday for a four-day bus tour across the early-voting state. Christie has seen a recent bump in state polls after camping out in New Hampshire.

He says the race so far has been “incredibly entertaining” but that “show time is over” as the race heads into the new year.

Christie also took several shots at his rivals, saying voters are not picking an entertainer-in-chief or casting a TV show.

He criticized Florida Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) for missing Friday’s year-end budget vote.
