LOS ANGELES, Jan. 7 (UPI) — Actress Christina Hendricks has joined the cast of the upcoming film Bad Santa 2.
A Deadline report revealed that Hendricks, known for her role in AMC’s Mad Men, will join the sequel to the 2003 Christmas-themed comedy.
She is set to portray a new character who serves as the head of a charitable organization.
Hendricks will join fellow newcomer Kathy Bates, as well as Tony Cox, Brett Kelly and star Billy Bob Thornton, who will return from the original Bad Santa.
Broad Green Pictures has set a Nov. 23 release date. The studio is set to fund and produce the film along with Miramax.
